Nicola Tennant ran away from the care system , not once but twice.
She had been place in care at the age of six.
Why did she runaway, hear her tale in her own words. This is a tale of oppression. Now you might think there are only a few, I have spoken to a few people and the reasons are similar. She also presents the numbers that it is happening NOW.
This not a tale from Dickens, we are in the 21st Century in what is seen as "prosperous" country.
